Ernesto Portillo, M.S., P.E.
Co-Founder & Consulting Engineer
Ernesto is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer with a specialized background in thermal and fluid systems.
As Co-Founder of Stratios Engineering, he brings extensive experience in rotating equipment, steam turbines, and HVAC systems to every project. With a track record of engineering success at companies like Solar Turbines, Chevron, and Phillips 66, Ernesto combines technical precision with a passion for strategic, client-focused solutions.
He holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Engineering Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO) and leads the technical direction of Stratios with integrity, reliability, and a commitment to long-term value.
Kaylee Benting
Co-Founder & Operations Manager
Kaylee is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer with a specialized background in thermal and fluid systems.
As Co-Founder of Stratios Engineering, he brings extensive experience in rotating equipment, steam turbines, and HVAC systems to every project. With a track record of engineering success at companies like Solar Turbines, Chevron, and Phillips 66, Ernesto combines technical precision with a passion for sustainable, client-focused solutions.
She holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO) and is an MSBA Finance and Tax Planning Candidate at San Diego State University and leads the technical direction of Stratios with integrity, reliability, and a commitment to long-term value.
